Job description

• The Community Engagement Manager CEE is responsible for managing the tactical and operational, patient engagement and communication strategy across Sobi CEE countries. This includes developing and managing all relevant projects and building strong relationships with key HC community stakeholders, Patients´ organizations, and industry associations which are critical for Sobi CEE.
• The Community Engagement Manager CEE works closely with the cross-functional global, regional, and local teams to ensure that strategies and activities are aligned and leveraged to support patients and the business for in-line and pipeline products within Hemophilia, Hematology and Specialty Care area as well as Sobi as a company, to support of the implementation of Sobi/brand strategies.
• The Community Engagement Manager CEE is also responsible for internal and external PR and communication strategy and execution
• Furthermore the key responsibilities in this position will be to ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with healthcare compliance and legal teams.
• To Create, enhance, and sustain an ongoing network of trusted relationships with the patient and caregiver community, Industry associations, HC society and other relevant stakeholders in all the CEE countries. All the activities should be aligned with the country/cluster business objectives and strategies
• To develop community engagement, patient advocacy and communication strategic and tactical plans for relevant disease areas as well as Sobi company/brand to ensure delivery on business objectives. To cover the mapping of community engagement (esp. PAGs) landscape incl. the insights to their priorities, activities and/or working mode. And , also including digital patient engagement strategies.
• To develop and manage the PR (both internal and external) strategy, tactics and execution.
• To ensure the cross functional cooperation with the CEE PACE team/ CEE & HQ product teams regarding all questions about community engagement and patient advocacy matters, ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner and through cross-functional working with colleagues.
• Secure that global and local patient insights and needs are systematically recorded and reflected into Global/local strategy and tactics development
• Lead various ways of gathering patient input (such as patient councils and advisory boards) to ensure that the patient voice is integrated into our business strategy.To lead the cooperation with consultants contracted for specific community engagement tasks.
• To educate/communicate with internal colleagues on changes in the external environment and how this affects Sobi’s strategies and drive the adaptation of Sobi’s strategies in line with external changes.
• Responsible for managing allocated programmes and budgets.
• Perform according to GxP (GCP, GVP, HCC, SOPs).
• Report to management in accordance with Sobi requirements and standards

Employer's requirements

Education/Learning Experience • University Degree level education • Experience in innovative community engagement and/or governmental affairs in Pharma – especially managing the relationship with PAGs, external affairs, HC policy etc. • Multi-stakeholder project management and leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver results on time and within budget. • Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance environment. Skills/Knowledge • Establish credible and long-lasting professional relationships and has personal impact through engaging respectfully and professionally. • Focus on personal accountability and ownership – constantly challenging oneself to take responsibility for continuous performance improvement and operational excellence • Effective listening skills, ability to work effectively in virtual teams, and in multi-disciplinary teams • Strong leadership and influencing skills • Strong experience in community/patient engagement (interacting with a variety of patient groups) and/or governmental affairs related matters. • Strong understanding of HC environment and government affairs/policy/patient advocacy • Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance environment. • Ability to conduct situation analysis of external environment and synthesize relevant information for business strategies and support development of country-specific and account strategic plans • Ability to identify compelling ways to demonstrate and communicate product value • Fluency in written and spoken English. Other languages are an asset.
