For our client, Swedish Orphan Biovitrum (Sobi), an international biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases which provide innovative treatments that transform lives, we are looking for a new team member on the following position:
Medical Scientific Manager (f/m)
Lead Sobi immunology medical affairs plan and implementation - focus on Jyseleca (filgotinib)
Through the scientific exchange, build and maintain professional relationships with clinical experts and other external stakeholders to expand Sobi’s research, advisory and educational partnerships
Drive “peer-to-peer” scientific communication with Key Opinion Leaders in healthcare, academia, payer, and government organizations
Present clinical and disease-related information to a variety of audiences (KOLs, HCPs, hospital/decision-making teams, internal colleagues, partners etc.)
Support data dissemination at congresses/seminars/workshops according to medical affairs plans
Provide scientific input and participate in local medical and cross-functional initiatives
Provide field-based medical support to Sobi’s clinical research programs, registries, and facilitation of the investigator-initiated research process
Develop/increase knowledge of medical literature and critical appraisal of scientific publications
Develop and update knowledge of applicable pharmaceutical guidelines and regulations, Code of Ethical Practices and company policies
Generate customer insights, opinions and feedback for internal assessment
Their ideal candidate:
Master’s degree in biomedicinal field (medicine or pharmacy is plus)
Preferred experience in immunology and/or rheumatology
Preferred 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in scientific roles (Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor or Medical Manager)
Self-driven personality with ability to operate out of home office
Effective communication and team working skills
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite, web environment)
Valid B category driving license
Flexibility, ability to manage change and operate in an environment of uncertainty
Customer relationship management experience
Ability to travel nationally to visit customers approx. 60% of time, occasional international travel
Excellent knowledge of English
