Our client, Colgate-Palmolive, is a leading global consumer products company, tightly focused on Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care and Pet Nutrition. For their brand, Hill’s, we are looking for a:

 
Customer Development Executive (m/f)
Zagreb


RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Visit of trade and top customers which represent 80% of the distributor's business, in an efficient and effective way, in a regular and consistent matter, based on approved routing.
  • Maintains a strong partnership with distributor's sales team, supervising the team and providing full support in order to continue sales relationships with approved customers.
  • Fully implement 5P's compliance for all products in accordance with Company established policies.
  • Assist distributor with POS materials management (forecasting/ordering stocks & implementation), while also ensuring efficient and effective use of promotional materials & equipment depending on needs and requirements of each type of outlet in the market.
  • Develop accurate knowledge of buying and selling methods and practices of each market and top customers in order to recommend a sales approach and monitor them.
  • Help distributor handles quality issues that arise in the field in customers, in a fair and equitable manner to both customer and distributor, according to client’s policies.
  • Identify and approach prospective customers, together with the distributor team to determine whether it would be or not a satisfactory outlet for our products according to our selective distribution policy.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to the distributor sales force, ensure "winning on the ground" is a top priority for the team and that 5 P's tactics and agreed initiatives are executed with excellence at the point of sales.
  • Provide information from the trade on competitive products and practices (new products, shelf pricing, promotional activities).
  • Align with the direct manager on promotional plans & budgets, suggests mechanism based on market experience and practices in order to leverage budgets and develop effectively.
  • Promotions that drive consumption off the shelf.


EXPECTATIONS:
 
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a pet business.
  • University Graduate.
  • English level C1 & native Croatian language skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent & Self Motivator.
  • Experience in field execution.
  • Expected percentage of travel: 50 % – 75 %.
